Kickoff Brief

Originally sent by Deepak Surana, late April 2026. Restructured here for reference; the original Slack thread remains the source of truth for tone.

The whole launch briefing fits on one page. Pitch, prototypes, build plan, epics, tech stack, docs — all in one view at the prototype URL.

Do these 4 clicks first — they tell the whole product story

The product story isn't a deck. It's a four-click walk through the prototype.

1. Click "Open clinic flow" (the gold card)

Lands on Yogini's Today screen — work-queue style. 4 visits, 3 things-need-you-now, AI insights sidebar. Click any patient row → Sofia Martinez.

2. On Sofia's chart, click "Start visit · AI scribe" (gold button, bottom right)

This is the moment.

Audio on

Yogini's actual cloned voice plays through the speakers (generated with ElevenLabs from her Starlight video voice). You'll hear her ask Sofia about her cough, hear Lisa (mom) answer about the fever, hear Yogini examine the lungs. Live transcript highlights each speaker line in gold as it speaks.

3. Hit "STOP & DRAFT NOTE" (white button, top right)

20 seconds later → AI-drafted SOAP note appears side-by-side with the transcript. Confidence flags on uncertain spans. Inline edit. ICD-10 chips auto-suggested. Hit "Sign & add to chart".

4. Click pill "5 · Mom gets the summary"

Split-screen: left = Yogini's chart with the new signed note, right = Lisa's iPhone receiving the parent-app push notification with the plain-language visit summary auto-generated by Claude. Tone is warm, second-person, no ICD-10.

The leapfrog feature

This last screen is the leapfrog Atlas can't ship without rebuilding their stack — AI is the substrate, not a sidecar.

Then explore the rest

Five additional surfaces in the prototype, each one a deliberate "why we win" moment.

Newborn home visit

Patients nav → Mai Nguyen (1d).

Yogini does newborn home visits 48h post-discharge — premium-pricing differentiator Atlas doesn't have. Pre-visit prep block pulls birth history from intake; tap-chip measurements layered above the recording waveform.

Sofia's chart Summary — the chart redesign

Patient hero, 3-up quick facts (allergies, meds, conditions), recent activity, vitals snapshot. 13 working tabs in the left rail:

Summary · Timeline · Notes · Messages · Tasks · Appointments · Documents · Diagnoses · Prescriptions · Labs · Vitals & growth · Bright Futures · Billing.

Every ICD code, every parent name, every sibling — all clickable.

Calendar week

Mon–Fri with 15 visits color-coded by type, including the dashed-rose home visit on Tuesday and a prospect call.

Family onboarding (mobile)

From the launch page, click "Open onboarding flow". 8 mobile screens; prospect → enrolled family in ~3 minutes:

magic-link → family registration → e-sign HIPAA + DPC → Stripe Setup Intent → first-visit booking.

vs Atlas.MD

From the launch page, click "vs Atlas.MD · why we win". 10 quantified dimensions side-by-side:

DimensionWhy we win

Visit summariesThe leapfrog
Newborn home visitThe differentiator

Polish round (added before the team meeting)

Four polish rounds shipped before the kickoff meeting:

Persistent Ask AI assistant (⌘J anywhere · gold ⚡ FAB bottom-right)

The biggest visible upgrade. Hit ⌘J on any screen, ask "What should I prioritize this morning?" → AI responds with 3 ranked actions + inline buttons (Open chart · Approve in queue · Open). Context pill auto-updates as you navigate. 7 demo conversations including drug-interaction check, prep-for-Sofia, draft-inbox-replies, summarize-this-week.

5 new top-nav surfaces wired up

The dead links from the original are now real screens.

SurfaceWhat's in it
Inbox9 unread, 6 sample threads, AI-drafted replies for 7 of 9

MarketingLead funnel 47→1, 4 active leads, Yogini's actual constellation pricing tiers + 6 real email templates

Marketing surface — constellation pricing tiers

Pulled directly from Yogini's existing app (starlight-pediatrics.netlify.app). Don't reinvent the wheel.

Plus 6 real email templates including her Google review solicitation.

⌘K command palette

The fake search box is now a real one. Type "Mai" or "Billing" or >summarize for AI commands. ↑↓ Enter to navigate.

What backs all of this

We toured Yogini's actual starlightpediatrics.atlas.md account — 33 screens captured, 15 chart-internal tabs mapped, 8 third-party integrations identified. Then ran 4 parallel QA agents over the prototype + docs + GitHub repo + clinical accuracy. Caught and fixed 35+ issues before this draft hit the team's screen.

Every Atlas claim on the vs-Atlas page is sourced from the live tour.

If you only do 2 things before the meeting

  1. Open https://starlight-md-prototype.netlify.app/visit/ → hit ⌘J → ask "What should I prioritize this morning?"
  2. Click Marketing in topbar → see the 5 constellation pricing tiers Yogini's already using
